How to clean a swimming pool

Pools are meant to be cleaned every so often, because of all the chemical buildup as well as it is wet and damp all the time can give birth to mold. But before you plan to clean your pool, you will need to asses if you have all the equipment to successfully clean the pool. Here’s a list for most common pool equipment:

  • Telescopic Pole
  • Skimmer Net
  • Pool Brush
  • Manual Vacuum pool cleaner
  • Robotic Vacuum pool cleaner
  • Pool Filter

A telescopic pole is the most basic of the pool cleaning equipment. It’s also an all in one type. You can attach all sorts of brushes to one pole, and get a variety of cleaning done. Attach as skimmer net to the pole and pick all the debris from the pool. A skimmer net will pick up twigs, leaves and such other debris from the pool.

Attach a pool brush to the pole and clean off the steps, ladder, sides, and base of the pool. This will remove any debris that is stuck to the side and clogs of dust as well.

Pool vacuum is also handy equipment to have, with the help of a pool vacuum you can clean the floor of the pool with ease. There are two types of pool vacuums that are stated above.

For a small pool a manual one would do just fine, but if you have a bigger pool then you better invest in an automatic one. A vacuum will settle on the floor of the pool and collect all the debris from it.

It’s prudent to clean all the equipment every time you clean the pool, and it also recommended that you give them a once-over before you set out to clean your pool again.
